Over the years, I have had the good fortune to be able to go on several week-long hikes in the Sierras. During that time we covered much of the Sierras from Mt. Whitney north to Tuolomne Meadows. My thanks to everybody (especially Gail and Susan) who helped me out and who kept my dinner warn and away from the bears while I was out doing my thing way past sunset.
Sierra 001 Frost at Sunrise
The hardy little wildflowers in the foreground are still blooming even though covered with frost, in August!
 Sierra 002 Banner Peak Sunrise  Sierra 004 Reflection Upper Meadow. Very dry conditions that year made for good monochrome images.  Sierra 007 Last Light at Cottonwood Lake I had about two minutes to get this shot and then it was gone. You just ask yourself, "did I really see that?"  Sierra 008 Moonset Mono Lake I've seen this old abandoned house many times, but the setting moon addes something special.
